The world’s seven Expedition team meet the Ambassador to Argentina on Wednesday (15/12/2010) night in Buenos Aires before starting to climb. The team arrived on Tuesday night in Buenos Aires after traveling about 16-hour flight from Doha, Qatar.
The team met Ambassador to Argentina Kartini Nurmala Syahrir while having dinner at Wisma Embassy along with several other groups, such as from the Supreme Audit Board and junior football teams from Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam. Once in Buenos Aires for two days, the team immediately went to Mendoza, Argentina province, which borders with Chile, where the climb to Aconcagua. The plan, the team will climb began December 17 after taking care of licensing and complementary equipment.
Previously, the team took off from Soekarno-Hatta, Banten, on Tuesday morning to Qatar to take approximately eight hours of travel. The team then connecting flight with another aircraft of the same airline to Buenos Aires.
